The most common eurypterid in the Pittsford Fauna is. Sarle The drawing at the right shows some of the basic structures of this arthropod. Note the position of the compound eyes (pterygotidlike), the small ocelli in the center of the carapace, and the anterior appendages, especially the swimming legs.
