February 17, 2014. Brendon & Katie. As soon as we got off our tuk tuk from the pier we could tell Luang Prabang was different to other places in Southeast Asia. The motorbikes cruised by slowly. The street markets contained beautiful well-made things you might actually consider buying. The sellers were doing their job, but in a gentle, good-natured way. We had planned to stay in Luang Prabang for about a week but ended up staying over a month. Even the street crossing signs showed a nice well-dressed lady.

Face to the Sunshine. A photo journal depicting the life of a young woman and her adventures. Sunday, June 24, 2012. A couple weeks ago, I hiked up South Boulder Peak with my friend Lindsay and her dog. We started at South Mesa trailhead and hiked up Shadow Canyon. This is the second time I have climbed up Shadow Canyon this year. I did it once before when hiking to the top of Bear Peak. South Boulder Peak is just to the south of Bear Peak, and was seemingly a bit less popular. Prickly Pear Cactus Flower.
