Brent qualified for the Junior High State Finals in Breakaway, Ribbon Roping and Team Roping. The first day was really rough. He did not get a qualified time in any of his events. It was a cold, windy and wet day in Heber. I know they were both devasted. They tried hard and worked hard to get there. They finished in the top 10 in the state and they should both be proud of that.

The blatherings of one woman. Monday, September 30, 2013. First Field Trip of the School Year. Where was this exciting field trip? The Houston Museum of Fine Arts. In simpler terms: an art museum. I have a great appreciation for the finer things in life, but not so much when it comes to art. So it wasn't necessarily exciting, but at least the kids got to ride a school bus. Soooo, looks like it'll be awhile before a family visit to the art museum. Coming off the bus. Enthralled and engrossed. I think.
