8220;I could never be a vegan.” Never say never. Farmer’s Market Win! On Saturday, I went to a farmer’s market. On route 46 in New Jersey that my friend Tracie told me about. It’s an indoor place that’s open all year round and it. is. awesome. I almost laughed with glee when my total came to a little over $25 for all of this:. Head of leaf lettuce (sooo fresh). Red seedless grapes (the best I’ve tasted since summer). Bag of fuji apples. One bunch of asparagus. Two bags of baby carrots. I carry your heart.

8220;I could never be a vegan.” Never say never. I carry your heart. This is the necklace I got at a vegan/eco-fashion sample sale in Manhattan on Saturday. It is from Vaute Couture. Which specializes in vegan coats, but also sells some eco-friendly t-shirts and jewelry as well. Unfortunately, none of the coats were cut right for me, but this piece caught my eye. I knew I had to have it when the designer told me that she was inspired by the e.e. cumming’s poem. Which also benefits from all sales of this.

Vogue Vigilante: June 2012

http://voguevigilante.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 24, 2012. I tried these various outfits on so I could figure out what to wear to a yearly meeting in Boise, ID (and I promised my fashion guru sister I'd show her some of my options). I don't want anything too dressy or uncomfortable since I end up walking a lot of miles around the city while I'm there, plus the hall where my meeting is held is freezing! Hence the "jeggings"). My sister might recognize a particular skirt amongst the offerings. Links to this post. Saturday, June 23, 2012.

Texan Intern at Farm Sanctuary | A great WordPress.com site

Texan Intern at Farm Sanctuary. A great WordPress.com site. July 25, 2012. Apparently, I have potential to become a crazy cat lady someday…. Or maybe it’s already started. That’s my bed. That’s my clothes drawer. That’s my desk at work. That’s my chest. I’ve always considered myself solely a dog person, but these kitties have been growing on me. I used to think cats were all snobby, but these are so sweet. I still don’t think they’d get along too well with my Lilly girl, though. ;). My week on shelter.
