Primal Precision: Feral Enchants (4.03)
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2011/01/feral-enchants-403.html
Friday, January 21, 2011. Feral Enchants (4.03). I have a confession to make, and it's not something I'm entirely proud to admit. I've been really, really lazy with enchanting my gear so far this expansion. That's not to say I haven't done it. I have. All my enchantable gear has something on it, but I'm not entirely sure any of them have the best option on there. Mostly because I haven't really checked to see what all the options are. Guess it's time to really start paying attention to enchants, eh?

Primal Precision: A Bear's Guide to BoT: Halfus Wyrmbreaker
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2011/05/bears-guide-to-bot-halfus-wyrmbreaker.html
Tuesday, May 17, 2011. A Bear's Guide to BoT: Halfus Wyrmbreaker. I've been putting this particular guide off for weeks and weeks. I wanted to cover all the "entry" raid bosses before I started discussing the ones further into each raid, but I've been dreading this one. How do you write a tanking guide for a fight that can change from week to week? With splash damage. For this reason, you'll want to stay spread out. This is particularly important as a tank. If you're already taking damage fro...Third is ...

Primal Precision: Cataclysm Bear "Rotations" (4.03)
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2011/01/cataclysm-bear-rotations-403.html
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Cataclysm Bear "Rotations" (4.03). I put "rotations" in the title (and then again put "rotations" in the first few words of this post) in hopes that it will help people searching for that keyword find this post. But this isn't really a post about Bear rotations. Because Bears don't really have true rotations the way some other classes do. Can I stop typing "rotations" now? You rarely have to wait the full time. Absolutely use this every time you have the free one. It's a very...

Primal Precision: A Bear's Guide to BWD: Magmaw
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2011/03/bears-guide-to-bwd-magmaw.html
Thursday, March 24, 2011. A Bear's Guide to BWD: Magmaw. I've been putting off writing these guides because I've wanted to include video with them, but every time we raid I either forget to start recording or we just have a bad night. (Sometimes both.). So I figure I'll at least start typing them out, then I can update with videos as I get around to making them. As soon as you enter combat. Generally you're going to tank Magmaw with your butt against the wall to his right. This turns him enough that ...

Primal Precision: A Bear's Guide to BWD: Atramedes
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2011/06/bears-guide-to-bwd-atramedes.html
Wednesday, June 15, 2011. A Bear's Guide to BWD: Atramedes. Because Atramedes is blind. Sonar, people. There are 10 gongs around the room (5 per side) that can be to cause Vertigo. On Atramedes. While under the effects of Vertigo, he'll take additional damage and the sound level of everyone in the raid will be reset to 0. However, you don't want to use them recklessly. Each time you ring one, Atramedes destroys it and they serve an important function during the fight. During the initial pull, this is not...

Primal Precision: A Bear's guide to the Firelands: Beth'tilac
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2011/07/bears-guide-to-firelands-bethtilac.html
Thursday, July 21, 2011. A Bear's guide to the Firelands: Beth'tilac. Beth'tilac is what happens when you try to kill a spider with fire and it goes horribly, horribly wrong. Instead of no spider, you now have a giant fire spider. Toasty. Beth'tilac's encounter is a two phase fight requiring two tanks for each phase. In the first phase the tanks are performing very distinct duties. In the second, there's taunt swapping. Phase 1: Beth'tilac Tank. Communicate with your other tank prior to the pull on who i...

Primal Precision: A Bear's Guide to BWD: ODS
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2011/03/bears-guide-to-bwd-ods.html
Wednesday, March 30, 2011. A Bear's Guide to BWD: ODS. ODS (or Odies or Omnotron (Defense System) or Omnomnomotron) is the other initial encounter. In BWD, and the one that's significantly more complicated for tanks. This is a good time to pop Barkskin. Since you won't be getting the benefit of Savage Defense. At 0 energy the unit shuts down. The first time each unit activates, it has a clean aggro table, so the first thing it's going to do is go straight for your healers. Be ready with your Growl. There...

Primal Precision: Ambitious Alts
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2011/07/ambitious-alts.html
Friday, July 8, 2011. If you look over on the right there, you can tell I'm a little bit of an alt-aholic. Not as bad as some, but I have my share of issues. Most of it comes down to the fact that leveling offers a sustainable, solo-able goal. Short of times like now, where there's new content to work through and conquer, this is somewhat lacking. So I roll and go. At the moment I have four 85s. Five, if you count Sanele. But she's on the back burner for now. She fulfilled her intended purpose. I've been...

Primal Precision: Cat DPS in 4.01
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2010/11/cat-dps-in-401.html
Friday, November 5, 2010. Cat DPS in 4.01. Really isn't that different than it used to be. I'm Raking. Less (because they last a lot longer now), and Ferocious Biting. More But other than the opening 10 seconds or so of the fight, the priority order hasn't really changed from what it used to be. Seconds between ticks (2 since the last and 3 until the next). The way it works now, if there's 1 second left and you refresh it, it adds. If you've specced into Stampede. You may be opening quickly with a Ravage.

Primal Precision: A little secret
http://primalprecision.blogspot.com/2011/07/little-secret.html
Thursday, July 14, 2011. A lot of people are making a fuss about Valor Points right now. Is it too hard or too easy to hit the weekly cap? Are Heroics faster than raiding? What about the ceilings? What about people who don't have time? What if you're a responsible adult and you have to prioritize limited play? And what about your alts? There's an easy answer to all this worrying about VP. Three simple words you can say to yourself to make it all go away. You ready for these? I know. Wild, right? What if ...
