R-Type is awesome. It was awesome when I was 9, it's awesome now (only I'm slightly better at it). I want to create a side-scrolling shooter myself (primarily for fun, slightly to work on my C# skills) so I'm looking for inspiration. James wants to make it funny (or at least, bare some of our humour in it) but I also want to include some interesting/cool features from when I've been playing games and thinking "Damn, I wish I could do X". The Cloud: ferrious

United Kingdom, England. It's been quite a slow day, so I've been exploring Windows Azure and Microsoft's vision for the cloud. Mainly this has focused on SkyDrive, Office Live and Mesh. I must say I'm impressed, but there's one key thing missing - unification. 25 Gig of online storage is good, 25 gig of storage that syncs between computers and integrates into the Windows shell would be great. I'm really excited about what Microsoft can deliver with Live wave 4 and Windows 7, but details are the key.
