The Cheerful Mind Project: January 2011
http://cheerfulmindproject.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 20, 2011. I will never use red clay in my home studio because I would never be able to clean it out of there - red clay infects everything! But, from time to time, I use red clay in class. I made this vase last summer. I carved the pattern in and glazed the bottom portion of the vase with celedon. I left the neck unglazed. Thursday, January 13, 2011. So me, and 28835 other people will submit our sketchbooks to be a part of this traveling exhibition. I sent in my finished book today!

Intuitive Sense of Connection. Memories of the Ocean. Standing at Waters Edge. About the Glaze tests. Recently I had a chat with my friends and fellow potters, and the conversation turned to glazes and glaze tests. We all have favorite ways to test, record and document the glazes.and during the conversation I promised to write a blog about my way of testing and documenting. As some test tiles just came out of the kiln, it is a perfect opportunity to tell you about it. First, about the test tiles:. It is ...

Conversations about pottery.and anywhere else it takes us. Thursday, August 6, 2015. A League of Our Own. Tuesday was the same. Actually, it was worse. It's water under the bridge now. We have to let it go and move on. We have until October to decide wether or not we will come back next year. If we do return, there will be some changes made in regards to what we will bring for inventory. I hope that things turn around for the craftsmen that are there for the full nine days. The League has a new director ...

http://cheerfulmindproject.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 5, 2012. I haven't posted anything new in a while, and that's mainly because what's new is sad. Just after Christmas our old friend Walter passed on. It's been a month of grieving, and trying to figure out the new rhythm of our lives without him. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Gary Jackson: Fire When Ready Pottery. Mud and Metal : A Collaborative Holiday Show. When Will I Grow. A plate a day. A final post on Blogger. Design is mine : isn't it lovely? Orphan Black Clone Club Mugs.
