Part 2: Port of the 'ol Java Vectorballs. I've written Vectorballs for every major platform I've used so far, why stop now? Definately still a work in progress. Never tried converting Java to Javascript (ActionScript/ECMA-262) before. What a total b*tch. There's LOTS of nice things one expects in Java/C that you just CAN'T DO here!

Part 2b: Port of the 'ol Java Vectorballs. Well, the sorting works now, so my Tree stuff must have had a bug, but other than that it's STILL slow as pigshit. So then I dump the bitmap balls and replace with the vector art balls (again) and see VIRTUALLY NO DIFFERENCE in speed (ok maybe a teeny tiny little quicker). Okay, what's costing me CPU here? By the way, in case you've forgotten/never seen this. Is what I'm aiming for.

Part 2c: Port of the 'ol Java Vectorballs. I got a sizeable increase in speed this time. It seems the sorting is the major bottleneck in this little ditty. Now personally I'd have to say that ordering a list of 64 object references shouldn't really be presenting a modern CPU with much of a problem even in an interpreted language and when the sort key is double precision floats. ActionScript's sort() implementation must be wanky.

Part 1: First ever few lines of Actionscript. About 12 lines I believe, and I spent nearly 4 hours changing them over and over again till I finally twigged the damn thing wasn't working because my symbols did not have linkage defined, Grrrr!
