My attempts at cooking!
January | 2010 | My Cooking Endeavors
https://foodbeginnings.wordpress.com/2010/01
About My Food Endeavors. Archive for January, 2010 Monthly archive page. Drumroll Please………. On January 30, 2010. The lemon cake was a huge success! Now, I will say, if you expect it to be a normal lemon cake you might be disappointed. This is more like what I would like to call a pound cake and a sugar cookie with a lemon twist! My husband absolutely loved it. I actually liked the lemon cake better the next day when it had time so set a while. Mmmmmmm………. I can’t wait to try more! 9654; View 3 Comments.

About My Food Endeavors. Archive for 2010 Yearly archive page. On February 8, 2010. I don’t know about you, but I like seeing a list of ingredients before I start a dish, so here you go! 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or tenderloins, cut in 1 inch cubes ( I think the tenderloins are easier to cut). 1 small box of bowtie pasta. 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced. 2-3 tbs. olive oil. 1 medium yellow squash, sliced 1/4 inch ( I like to use my crinkle cutter from pampered chef to make it pretty🙂. Now, I ...

Growing Nails Through Art!: Concert Nails
http://tooprettytoeat.blogspot.com/2010/02/concert-nails.html
Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Click any pic to enlarge.). I am going to the Billy Joel and Elton John concert tomorrow, so I wanted my nails to go with that theme. Nothing about this design went right, and I'm actually not really happy with it, but it's okay. Then I put design over the tips with Konad special polish in Gold. (You can just barely see this, in the picture and in person.) And I can't for the life of me think of the word for the design! Posted by Misti Yerton. February 25, 2010 at 8:17 AM.
Growing Nails Through Art!: Let's Drink to 2010
http://tooprettytoeat.blogspot.com/2010/01/lets-drink-to-2010.html
Monday, January 4, 2010. Let's Drink to 2010. Click to enlarge.). Basecoat: Zoya nail polish (Gabrielle). Squares: Konad special nail polish (Wine). Designs: Konad special nail polish (White). Posted by Misti Yerton. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Growing Nails Through Art! I have a terrible nail-biting problem, but I discovered that if I keep my nails manicured, I won't bite them. After months of $15 French manicures, I bought a Konad kit and got into the world of fancy nails! Red Polka Dot French.
Growing Nails Through Art!: Tiger or Fire?
http://tooprettytoeat.blogspot.com/2010/02/tiger-or-fire.html
Monday, February 15, 2010. Click to enlarge.). I knew it would happen! I'm on a little kick of designed tips (which I'm just going to go ahead and call "French" for the sake of tags), rather than whole nail designs. I used the Konad special polish in orange and yellow on this one. I can't decide whether it looks like a tiger in the wrong colors or a fire. Also, I'm behind on posting again. This was the design I did on January 31st. Posted by Misti Yerton. February 15, 2010 at 11:16 PM.

Growing Nails Through Art!: Happy Valentine's Day!
http://tooprettytoeat.blogspot.com/2010/02/happy-valentines-day.html
Monday, February 15, 2010. Click pics to enlarge.). I used the Konad special polish in red and white. By the time I made it to work the next day to take a picture with one of my duckies, I'd already chipped my thumb! At least it was in a non-designed area. It's weird how thick the base coat top coat are though, huh? I did this design on February 7th and wore it until today, when I redid my nails. Who knows when I'll post that design! Thursday, January 28, 2010. Red Polka Dot French. Click to enlarge.). This is simple, but I love it! The red and white are both Konad's special polish. I cannot get the French stamps on to save my life (and I also can't keep a French looking nice to save my life), so Nathan did this for me. He did a really good job, eh? I called this a reverse Minnie Mouse. :) I think I'm going to be obsessed with doing these types of designs now, so I hope my blog doesn't get monotonous! Posted by Misti Yerton. I think ...
Growing Nails Through Art!: December 2009
http://tooprettytoeat.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 23, 2009. Click any pic to enlarge.). Basecoat: Maybelline Salon Finish (Brick Creme). Accent and designs: Konad special nail polish (Green, White). Another successful composition, if I do say so myself! I wonder if I could get away with red, green, and white when it's not Christmas season. I'll try to think of something, because I think the colors look nice together. I thought this was such a great idea for a picture! I took a lot of pictures of this set. Posted by Misti Yerton.
Growing Nails Through Art!: November 2009
http://tooprettytoeat.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 20, 2009. Basecoat: e.l.f nail polish (Dark Navy). Line designs: Konad special nail polish (Midnight Blue). Animals: Konad special nail polish (Light Blue). This is my first design I've done using different shades of one color. (Amazing how black the dark navy looks on my nails, huh? This one would be toward the bottom of the list if I ranked all the designs I've done. I was disappointed with how dark the basecoat turned out. (Look how pretty it is on e.l.f.'s website! Growing Nails Through Art!: October 2009
http://tooprettytoeat.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Basecoat: Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear (Black Out). Designs*: Konad's special nail polish (Orange and White). I'm not good a describing/naming most of these designs! The first layer design is a mix between plaid and checks, I think. Or just one or the other? I am so happy with this design! I'm not even going to show you the way I originally painted my nails on Sunday night. It was boooring! Posted by Misti Yerton. Links to this post. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Links t...

Culinary Musings of a Shoe Addict. Everything but the Kitchen Sink Couscous. November 30, 2010. Ahh couscous, the little black dress of grains. I fully understand that it is nothing more than (very) tiny pasta, so really isn’t healthier for you in the long run (quinoa – now that’s where it is.
