Baby, i can promise you that by the time that we get through, the world will never ever be the same. And we're to blame. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. It's no MAC but can't beat that price. Wes bought me a laptop for my birthday this year. Well, technically, it's a netbook. (Which, by the way, spell check doesn't register and wants me to change but according to this. And I really love it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Its no MAC but cant beat that price. Lauren and Garin K. Melissa and John Partin.

Pine Belt Blues: Synchronicity, not Jungian
http://pinebeltblues.blogspot.com/2009/07/synchronicity-not-jungian.html
Not sure if I actually live in the Pine Belt anymore, but oh well. Friday, July 24, 2009. Synchronicity, not Jungian. Lucero has a new album coming out on October 6th. I love Lucero. They've got a new song up on their website called "The Devil and Maggie Chascarillo." I listened to it and thought three things: 1) wow, I can actually understand the words, even though I have no idea what Ben Nichols is talking about, 2) this is an awesome song, and 3) is that a horn section? Blueprint for a Southern Home.

Pine Belt Blues: Letters
http://pinebeltblues.blogspot.com/2009/07/letters_08.html
Not sure if I actually live in the Pine Belt anymore, but oh well. Wednesday, July 8, 2009. It's not enough that I have to be friended by people I went to (lower, middle) high school with, or random people I didn't like that much in undergrad, or friends of friends of friends from grad school, no. When I get friended on facebook by kids I used to baby-sit, I am officially OLD. At, you know, 26. Why do you do this to me? July 9, 2009 at 9:43 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pine Belt Blues: August 2008
http://pinebeltblues.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Not sure if I actually live in the Pine Belt anymore, but oh well. Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Ellie attempts a fig tart. Ok, I promised I'd write this post for my friend Emily, who wants to learn to cook. Not so much. but it looked ok, so I kneaded it a couple of times and stuck it in the fridge, while I proceeded to cut up the figs, which looked like this:. Damn, adding pictures is confusing. Anyway. Aren't they pretty? Aren't they just so, so pretty? Lesson #4: go with the flow. Sometimes you have...

Pine Belt Blues: June 2009
http://pinebeltblues.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Not sure if I actually live in the Pine Belt anymore, but oh well. Monday, June 22, 2009. A rare movie review. And by us I mean a straight white man? Much more interesting that way. I think my biggest problem with the movie is that it was kind of boring. Whereas a story about Chess Records in the 1950s should be exciting. Really exciting. I mean, it was the postwar boom in the 1950s! Friday, June 19, 2009. Right now, I love you more than anything else in the world. Especially cold. Thanks so much, Ellie.

Lex: Green Smoothies
http://hotlantahunters.blogspot.com/2010/04/green-smoothies.html
Baby, i can promise you that by the time that we get through, the world will never ever be the same. And we're to blame. Thursday, April 8, 2010. Handful of frozen fruit. 2 tablespoons of non-fat plain yogurt. 1 tablespoon of no sugar added applesauce. Splash of fruit juice (Trop 50 is my favorite). BIG handful of fresh baby spinach. Start by pouring into a dark glass just because the color may freak you out. If you use blueberries or pomegranate juice, it won't even be green. Lauren and Garin K.

Pine Belt Blues: Hilarious moments from the weekend:
http://pinebeltblues.blogspot.com/2009/10/hilarious-moments-from-weekend.html
Not sure if I actually live in the Pine Belt anymore, but oh well. Thursday, October 1, 2009. Hilarious moments from the weekend:. So my cousin Lanier got married last weekend, which meant a big chance to see my dad's side of the family. I had traveling adventures in the form of airplane screwdrivers at 8 AM (free! And Jimmy's truck breaking down in Tuscaloosa, and, as always, the Campbell family provided plenty of hilarious quotes, mostly to do with football:. YOU WANT A BEER? Also my Uncle Ray spent th...

Pine Belt Blues: December 2008
http://pinebeltblues.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Not sure if I actually live in the Pine Belt anymore, but oh well. Monday, December 8, 2008. Well, I'm in the midst of writing a paper on Dolly Parton as a queer icon, but I really needed to share this short work story:. There's nothing worse than an undergrad who thinks he knows what he's talking about. I field "is this the archive? Where are the books? I said yes, I'm sure we do. Which CD in particular is he looking for? He asks, "Do you have LPs? And my response to "So you'll come out? And later I pul...
