Sunday, January 30, 2011. I have been admiring our new dresser for nearly a week now. After my last post. We successfully secured the piece that Monday. The operation was quite eventful because it involved "repair" of a stubborn drawer before we purchased.which later had to be repaired (really repaired this time) by my husband. Anywho, the big reveal. The chest fit perfectly between the windows. The thing is in EXCELLENT condition, and we plan to keep it as is for now. We really love it. I am a stay-at-h...

Domestically Devon: Rug: Before and After
http://domesticallydevon.blogspot.com/2011/02/rug-before-and-after.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. Rug: Before and After. I have a confession to make. We have lived in our current home for THREE years come March. And for the past three years we have lived like this:. Yes, that is a towel on the floor. A towel rug, if you will. Do you think I could market it? Yeah, I didn't think so either. But we have a dog, and a muddy yard, and it always made sense. We started off with one. You know, to see how we would like it. Instant warmth, and instant dirt catcher. I am a stay-at-hom...

Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself: July 2012
http://resnoncon.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself. Sunday, July 8, 2012. I graduated. :D. I'm trying to keep my head above water with a series of part-time jobs while decided what to do for my future. I'm confided that I'll go for a PhD. I was initially planning on a PhD in Linguistics, but now I'm seriously considering Speech-Language Pathology. There's a job market there, you know? But that isn't the pet peeve I'm meaning to write about. Granted, that is one of them, but it's not the focus of this post. Dear ...

Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself: December 2011
http://resnoncon.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself. Monday, December 5, 2011. Attention people: It is December. That means it is winter. That means that it will be cold. And icy. And snowy. You will need to wear boots. And coats and scarves and hats and gloves. You will need to scrape shit off of your cars. This is not news. This is normal. Please, for the love of God, stop acting like winter is new and shocking. Please stop bitching about it being cold. IT'S DECEMBER! It's supposed to be cold.

Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself: On Jealousy
http://resnoncon.blogspot.com/2014/07/on-jealousy.html
Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself. Tuesday, July 1, 2014. I'm going to admit something here: in light of my recent failure to acquire funding (and yes, I consider it a personal failure), I want to talk about my jealousy. After college I went to work as a nanny. I lived in the basement of a mansion and was always aware of my place, but I made a decent wage. July 1, 2014 at 12:14 PM. It is NOT a personal failure that you didnt get the grant. Please try to understand that. View my complete profile.

Domestically Devon: Easy Citrus Fish!
http://domesticallydevon.blogspot.com/2010/04/easy-citris-fish.html
Friday, April 2, 2010. We LOVE eating fish in our home. I try to encorporate fish. The health benefits are amazing.necessary vitamins, minerals and of course, those Omega-3's. Fish prevents heart disease, reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Fish lowers blood pressure. Fish helps reduce depression. Fish is low in fat. Fish has strong levels of protein. I could go on, but I think you get the picture! You NEED to eat more FISH! It is near impossible to find WILD SALMON in the stores around here.
