We got the sweetest fabric in this month which celebrates. Important moments in which this country established essential rights. Lindell immediately envisioned, and then beautifully. Executed these panels from some of the vignettes in the fabric. And of course, today. Is the perfect day to share them. Here at FMS summer has started with a bang!

This is Grandma's Aprons, made entirely from bits and pieces of feedsack fabrics, including my Grandma's apron. The apron was well-used and held memories of warm oatmeal bread baking. I was able to make a quilt for a friend in his last weeks. It included photos from his close friends and family in lighter, carefree times. Karl enjoyed hiking, vacations, cooking and spending time with friends and family. I will miss his gentle sweet smile. Karl certainly appreciated the quilt and the warm memories. It's been a while since I've posted here. The reason? Many and none. Just life and days going by. I haven't been sewing lately but here are some things that have happened over the winter and spring months. I can't say that I live with the fabrics as closely as he does. Squaring up and trimming. It's fun to see the nice, crisp blocks all trimmed.
