Recording in a shed. Ok it doesn’t sound very glam but not everything in life can be. The main thing is that it feels good and sounds good – who cares what the decor looks like behind the scenes. Thankfully after many attempts on my own I decided to find someone to help deliver the vocal and instrumental sheen that has been lacking from my attempts to date. This Is How We Walk on the Moon – Jose Gonzalez. Heard this on the radio the other day, not normally my cup of tea but I thought it was brilliant. Its part of an Arthur Russell tribute album out on Yep Roc Records featuring covers by various peeps including Hot Chip and others which I confess I’ve never heard of – details here.
