Tuesday, January 13, 2009. It was a cold, windy morning. We made our way into the metal building with kerosene heaters running full blast and it was still freezing. Really 32 degrees kind. But, I think the group made it through just fine. Despite the conditions, I believe learning did occur! Speaking at the "Friends of Hagerman". Friday, September 28, 2012. On the way into the NWR Big Red came out to visit. You can see the sunrise in the eye. This bird was a show off. Course I was not fast enough to catch the bird. Dropping the minnow and the snapping it up as it hit the surface of the water. White Pelicans crusin th Hage. The Pelicans were swimming back and forth gathering up the fish. After the pelicans flew off to take a break from eating the Egrets and Herons. Were left along along with their supporting cast.
