From The Word Go. Saturday, March 10, 2012. Celebrity Feminists Embrace the Stereotype. It's like an Onion satire of a humorless, feminist scold. but it's real. There's a lot wrong with this piece, but I liked this line: "His longtime favorite term for women, "femi-nazi," doesn't even raise eyebrows anymore.". Rush doesn't call all women femi-nazis. Just you. Your creepy desire to set yourselves up as arbiters of acceptable speech makes me think he's got a point. Links to this post. YMCA of East Tennessee.

From The Word Go: Send Sample Now

http://fromthewordgo.blogspot.com/2012/06/send-sample-now.html

From The Word Go. Sunday, June 24, 2012. Oh, how I have come to love the words "Send sample now." This has become my favorite Kindle. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). In an effort to learn about my newly adopted city of Knoxville, I'm visiting every museum, park and tourist attraction in East Tennessee to which one can reasonably drag a three-year-old. You could call it "Knoxville with Kids". I'll have to leave the cool downtown blogging to others for awhile. View my complete profile.

Saturday, April 23, 2005. Pope requests audience with Bono. In his first official act since being named leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI said that he had requested an audience with Bono, the leader of the platinum-selling rock band U2. From the Word | Weekly thoughts on what I’m learning from God’s Word

Weekly thoughts on what I’m learning from God’s Word. Posted January 5, 2011. John’s gospel is all about believing. The NIV uses the word 54 times in the book. But I noticed how central the focus was from reading chapter 2 today. From turning water to wine to throwing all the merchants out of the temple, the people who saw what Jesus did knew he was sent from God. 8221; But those who spent time with him knew – he was the Messiah, the one who God promised generations ago would rescue Israel. Vs 9) When he...

From The Word Go. Monday, November 19, 2012. I've been kicking around the idea of starting a book review blog as 1) a fun little project and 2) a way to encourage myself to finish the books I start. Just call me short attention span girl. I wanted to give it a theme, but I wasn't sure if "Twilight-Free Zone" was enough to carry a blog. I intended to get to work on it right after we had put everything right by electing. Mitt Romney. Yeah. So, anyway. So, first up: The Forgotten Man. Links to this post.
