Vegan Lasagna with Homemade Ricotta. It’s beginning to look a lot like….Hoth →. December 16, 2013. Today, after I got out of the shower and dressed for work, my kiddo threw up. It was a great way to start a Monday morning. Not. The fat cat keeps trying to claim it for himself. I was so tired by dinner time that I just did soup for us. Basic ramen style for kiddo, and pho for me, with fried tofu for both of us. I am slightly obsessive with pho, and could eat it almost every day I think. Someth...You are c...

Newer posts →. WHERE HAVE I BEEN? September 8, 2011. Mostly in a big cloud of work and fuzziness. But seriously, it has been a hectic summer. New boss, lost our asst mgr, having to work a lot more, yada yada.😛 Leaves little time for blogging and crafting. Serious bummer. I want to get more into pattern writing, and for the love of god put some things back into my etsy! AHH it’s been barren for so long! This is an emotional post. Time for a picture. I will probably do some patterns with that as well....

Our Crowded Mantel: June 2011
http://ourcrowdedmantel.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 1, 2011. We've got some little baby veggies coming up in our front-yard raised bed. It's so exciting to put the seeds in the ground and wait for something to come up. We are using the square foot gardening method which allows for maximum use of a small space compared with more traditional rows. We've got several crops planted with space slated for new additions once the season rolls on. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Pinterest and Sweet Potato Pie Dip.

Our Crowded Mantel: Secretary
http://ourcrowdedmantel.blogspot.com/2011/12/secretary.html
Wednesday, December 28, 2011. We purchased another vintage, mid-century piece of furniture last week from a shop out of Chicago where we've had a lot of luck. The owner, Cintia, dropped this gem off before we left for Christmas travels, but we've only now had time to get it situated. It's solid teak in two separate pieces. Very sturdy and in good condition. The lighting in this room is strange, but you get the general idea from the picture. December 29, 2011 at 12:51 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Our Crowded Mantel: Pineapple Upsidedown Cake
http://ourcrowdedmantel.blogspot.com/2012/04/pineapple-upsidedown-cake.html
Sunday, April 1, 2012. I've had pineapple upside down cake on the brain lately. When we invited several friends over for a small dinner party and I knew wanted to make some kitschy, special dishes that seemed 1960's fabulous. I used an internet recipe, credit to someone named Vetrusha here. Better living through chemistry? Who the heck knows. While the second cake was more caramelized, in the future when I make this recipe I am going to put the caramel ingredients in the pan first and brown them in the o...

These Little Piggies Had Tofu: Cancer
http://thislittlepiggyhadtofu.blogspot.com/2013/05/cancer.html
Wednesday, May 8, 2013. My friend Ryan has cancer. You might remember Ryan from Midwest Vegan Radio. She and Dallas interviewed me and Anna for a podcast. She has stage 3 breast cancer. She's 33. So far, expenses have surpassed $60,000 and she's had to miss quite a good deal of work because of chemo sessions and such. At the end of the month, I'll be shaving my head to raise money for Ryan. If you can afford to donate, please do so at this medical fundraising site. Then I turned it blue. View my complete...

I cut my own hair! - Frugal Babe

A rich life without a lot of money. You are here: Home. I cut my own hair! I cut my own hair! June 1, 2014. And I really like how it turned out. For years, my husband has been cutting his own hair. Most of the time, he just shaves it all the way off using the closest setting on the clippers, and then waits a few months and does it again. Sometimes I’ll give him a snazzy haircut that utilizes two different settings on the trimmers fancy, I know! And here’s a side view:. I’ve been shampoo-free for about tw...

A rich life without a lot of money. You are here: Home. Giving our boys the world. Giving our boys the world. June 11, 2014. We’re not usually procrastinators when it comes to projects, but this one took a while. Back in January, I ordered a world map wall mural when it was on sale on Zulily. Normally $100, I got it for $40). And then it just sat in its box for five months. We had never hung wallpaper before, and I think I was a little daunted contemplating the process. The whole thing went really well&#...

It is a butterfly-focused collection of gorgeous artwork, a language book, and a mini-encyclopedia of facts about butterflies, moths, a grasshopper, and even a penguin! Gryphons Aren’t So Great. Butterfly Battle & Food Chain Frenzy (The Magic School Bus Chapter Books #16 & #17). April 30th, 2015 · 1 Comment. Review By JENNIFER KALI. I’ve expressed my love for all things Magic School Bus previously. My almost six-year-old daughter and I are having a great time working our way through our library’s collection of Magic School Bus chapter books. The two we read most recently were great finds for kids interested in animal welfare. Middot; Chapter Books. Middot; Food Choices.
