June 16, 2013 to August 30, 2014. Volunteers are need to organize and play sports with the children, to organize and teach the Christian topics, and to prepare meals for the children at summer camps. For 2013, we plan to host summer camps in 3 locations: (1) Dobrogea which is located in Southeastern Romania, (2) Oltenia which is located in Southwestern Romania, and (3) Gura Vladesei which is our mountain retreat facility in Northwestern Romania. Each camp usually hosts an average of 100 children.

September 30, 2014. Collections from our partners in Scotland, Denmark, and USA are underway for Christmas Boxes for children. Gifts, blankets, warm clothing and food supplies are needed. In December, volunteers will distribute these items to orphans in Ilusia, very poor families in Castelu, and prisoners in the state prisons. Hierdoor verbeteren de omstandigheden en perspectieven van gezinnen, kinderen en mensen in (sociale) noodsituaties. Doel hierbij is dat mensen op korte of langere termijn voor zichzelf kunnen zorgen. Zo’n 70 km ten noordoosten van Cluj-Napoca.

Het project bij Ecce Homo in Cluj bestaat al ruim 10 jaar, terwijl bij Elpis in Dej dit seizoen voor het tweede jaar aardappels verbouwd worden.
