Another one of those mental notes. The function for making a window behave a little like a dialog box, when it comes to controls, is IsDialogMessage(). Which makes it hard to find in the help files, since who would look under "Is" for such a thing? If you're in the UK, or anywhere else that has Wrigleys Airwaves chewing gum.

Archives: Last 4 Days. Friday 28 September 2001. The PSU I got, incidentally, was a 300W thing made by Antec. It's nice and quiet, and has lots of connectors, so my current comment on Antec, if you happen to be wanting a PSU, is that I recommend them. I'm sure nobody is actually interested at all - in reality, this is just a note-to-self for when the PSU of another machine dies a death. [08:38]. Thursday 27 September 2001. Another step in the ironically entitled Operation Enduring Freedom. A splendid sit...

Archives: Last 4 Days. Saturday 29 June 2002. Err A television advertisement for getting your organs ripped out. Just said something like this: "Only 5% of people who would benefit from a heart transplant will get one. 20% of people who are waiting for a heart transplant will die before they get one." So, um, what happens to the other 75%. Isn't a bad deal. [14:57]. Dubya is getting his colon scanned for cancer. Did they make and air the advertisement within a 9 hour period? Tom Stoppard defiles Shakespe...

Archives: Last 4 Days. Wednesday 29 August 2001. After three days of compiling and installing X, KDE, and all the stupid bits of KDE, and all the stupid bits KDE requires, and then discovering that kmail is not, as I had been told, like Eudora, but rather is like Outlook Express, I'm thoroughly disillusioned with Unix in general. Konqueror, which seemed a relatively good browser, doesn't even work with Warlocks. That doesn't properly follow dependencies. Monday 27 August 2001. No wonder he goes by H.P.

Archives: Last 4 Days. Wednesday 29 May 2002. I just got a spam about " super oxygenated. Water, with " up to 1500% more oxygen. For those of you unfamiliar with these things, pure hydrogen peroxide (the bleach) is water with '100% more oxygen'. The version of hydrogen peroxide used as an antiseptic is water with about 4% more oxygen, and is quite capable of changing your hair colour with sufficient exposure. I wish the people who order super oxygenated water. Tuesday 28 May 2002. With a fork or knife?

Archives: Last 4 Days. Saturday 27 April 2002. Are an excellent organisation. Not least for the irony of the name. Since the majority of their help appears to be with planning to not. Be a parent. But also because, when health insurance coverage is utterly arse. They cost less than what the pills alone would cost, for both prescription and pills. They also provide a year's worth. In a visit, saving repeated trips and waits at a pharmacy. And their gynecologist people. What you need for this hobby:. File ...

And apparently print proper official-style. Labels with barcodes and all, which, apparently, will make shipping a book non-internationally cost 60 cents less. Except that it will cost $10 a month, and requires a specific type of labels. Mm. Or there's PitneyWorks. That's cheaper per month but a bit less sparkly. Tuesday 29 January 2002. Wrote ...

Archives: Last 4 Days. Sunday 20 December 2015. The other day I stumbled across a weird candy I've been trying to find for ages - " Napoleon Zwartwit. Is the name that might find it again. Now to include some keywords so I can find my own blog post next time I've forgotten what they are and try to find them! Ammonium chloride powder sherbet inside a hard candy, spherical, caramel, brown, dutch, netherlands, salmiak, licorice. I think that'll do it. [09:52].

Archives: Last 4 Days. Monday 30 July 2001. Argh, American advertisements are insane. Baby Bottle Pop. Advertises with girls laughing at. The kids who consume the product. "Ooh, I want to be laughed at too! Showing kids around a museum. What the bloody buggery. Has that got to do with crappy food? Tsk, ravenblack.net was down for a few hours again, due to lilo.
