http://alonewayfarer.blogspot.com/2013/05/on-culture-immigration-and-racism.html
Still a Poor Wayfaring Stranger. This blog follows my travels around the world. Unlike my old blog, where I posted anything and everything, this is only for travel stories and photos. For grammar-related activities, I have my Canadian Grammar Geek blog set up, and for anything else, well, why rant and complain? Life is too short for that! Travel makes all men countrymen, makes people noblemen and kings, every man tasting of liberty and dominion." Amos Bronson Alcott. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. I decided to...

Canadian Grammar Geek: March 2015
http://canadiangrammargeek.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 16, 2015. Anyway, the correct word is. Both This one has bugged me for a long time, and when it came to writing a blog entry about it, I would forget it over and over and kick myself for not writing the topic down somewhere so I wouldn't forget it. I've checked a few different sources, and it seems that the consensus is that these words are interchangeable, only that towards. Is used more in Britain and toward. Is more common in the US. What does that mean for Canadians? Corner of the Sky.

Canadian Grammar Geek: November 2012
http://canadiangrammargeek.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 25, 2012. A serious grammar discussion today! Here it is with a more formal explanation. Countable nouns: any noun that you count indvidually. Example: potato ( one potato, two potatoes, three potatoes, etc.). Uncountable nouns: any noun cannot be counted. Example: justice ( here, you cannot say one justice, two justices, etc.). For example, which is correct? There were less goblins under my bed last night. There were fewer goblins under my bed last night. Corner of the Sky. For more on ...

Canadian Grammar Geek: You can call me what you like, but don't call me late for supper...or is that dinner?
http://canadiangrammargeek.blogspot.com/2016/07/you-can-call-me-what-you-like-but-dont.html
Thursday, July 14, 2016. You can call me what you like, but don't call me late for supper.or is that dinner? I grew up calling my midday meal "lunch" and my evening meal "supper." I knew that some people called their midday meal "dinner", and I recently realised that there is a good number of people that also call their evening meal "dinner." So where does that leave me? I have no idea what to say now! Corner of the Sky. December 27, 2016 at 7:25 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Corner of the Sky.

freshwater.purls: June 2010
http://freshwaterpurls.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 22, 2010. I haven't been sleeping well again.I'm going to really regret this in the morning. But for the first time in about 6 years I actually sat down and wrote out something. Poetry used to be a HUGE part me, since I was a little kid, but somehow in the stress of life, I forgot how freeing it is to get ideas out on paper.Anyways, I thought I would share it:. I envision it as a tiny meadow. A clearing prayed for after miles and miles of endless cover from the sun. Links to this post.
