Grant, five centres from the UK, Italy and Canada formed the initial consortium with further centres joining from these countries and also from Sweden and the Netherlands. In total, a cohort of 365 participants was recruited during the pilot phase across thirteen sites. GENFI is now working with other groups across the world to further research into genetic FTD. We have now formed a group called the FTD Prevention Initiative (FPI) bringing together research consortia across Europe, North America and Australasia as well as other interested parties. Apart from GENFI, members of the ARTFL. Consortia in the USA are also part of the FPI as is the Australian Dominantly Inherited Non-Alzheimer Dementias (DINAD) study.
