Get Well Soon, Caitlin! Thursday, February 7, 2008. Caitlin has been napping well on and off the last couple hours. She was still experiencing quite a bit of pain, so they added Valium (to help relax the muscles in her neck) and Oxycodone for the pain. Praise the Lord, our God is an awesome God! I am so happy to hear caitlin is doing so well, she is a real trooper. our prayer will keep going up for her, let her know we're thinking about her:). February 7, 2008 at 4:31 PM. Get Well Soon, Caitlin! Monday, February 11, 2008. Out of the PICU! And another room change. Caitlin no longer has the turban (will post pictures later), but she is not thrilled about how her hair looks after being stuff in the turban and not being washed for about a week. She is trying to get some rest, but she has been a little weak and shaky as she is being weaned off all the medications she has been on. I will post more later. You are doing so great, CCG! Get Well Soon, Caitlin! Monday, February 11, 2008. Physical therapy and possible release date! Caitlin has become more mobile now that she has gotten unhooked from a lot of the monitoring equipment. We also met one of her surgeons late this afternoon and he said he expects to release Caitlin tomorrow! This will be confirmed after a meeting with the doctors and therapist in the morning. We have taken a few pictures and some video of today's events, including pictures of her scars. God answers our prayers.

Get Well Soon, Caitlin! Tuesday, February 12, 2008. Caitlin was discharged from the hospital this morning! She was able to walk quite a distance in the hospital, including up and down some stairs with the therapist before we left. She does not have any medications to take at home unless she wants some regular Tylenol. So far she is not having much pain and appears to have full mobility in her neck. Get Well Soon, Caitlin! Friday, February 8, 2008. Last night, Caitlin was able to rest comfortably off and on. She did have some problems keeping food down and they attributed that to a licorice flavored pain medication (she is not a fan of black licorice). They have changed that to something else and that has helped a lot. She still has the catheter in her head and we still have no word when they will take that out. Hopefully tomorrow. Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Caitlin is doing great after her surgery. Caitlin is really doing well after her unexpected brain surgery on February 6. For all the details, check out the blog for her. She has her post-operative appointment with the surgeon Friday and we hope to get the final pathology report on the tumor.
