Melton-Sales Family: September 2009
http://meltonsales.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Sep 20, 2009. We made our annual trip to the State Fair and even avoided tasteless swine flu jokes when visiting the pigs. As usual, we focused our time on the animals and successfully didn't buy one bit of junk from the many vendors present. James looked at many bunnies, noticed which ones were for sale, and asked if he could buy most of them. Thankfully he took my answer of "no" without complaining. Sep 16, 2009. James had his first soccer game this past weekend, and it was nice to get back to the game!

May 21, 2009. Guitar recital time again and James has learned so much. I am always impressed by the progress he makes each week. This time James played Oye. Como Va by Santana as a duet with his instructor, Mr. Burkes. The video isn't that great, but it's fun just the same. James did make a little mistake this time, but he takes it in stride and gets right back into the song. (Lord knows I'm not coordinated enough to play this song! Good job, James! May 19, 2009. Melton-Sales Family: Drive in Movie
http://meltonsales.blogspot.com/2010/01/drive-in-movie.html
Jan 15, 2010. The sixth graders at James' school have a "drive in movie" activity each winter. To participate in the drive in movie you must make a car out of a cardboard box to take to the movie in the gymnasium. I don't even remember what movie they watched (James probably doesn't either), but I do remember many interesting car creations when I dropped off James at school. Here are some photos of James' car - a 1960's Volkswagen. Bus complete with many "stickers" and curtains in the windows.

Melton-Sales Family: brrr....Salmon!
http://meltonsales.blogspot.com/2010/01/brrrsalmon.html
Jan 10, 2010. The Salmon, Idaho tournament was fantastic this year. There were 9 teams and our cats did very well - 3rd place! It almost made us forget about how super cold it was this trip. The locals joked that compared to the week before they were experiencing a "heat wave." By the last day I think the high reached freezing. Here are some photos from the weekend:. This was the temperature at noon on Saturday. Vs Idaho Falls Eagles. Who took first place). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Apr 12, 2009. Never too Old to Decorate Eggs. Each year I ask James if we're going to decorate Easter eggs and he always answers with an enthusiastic "of course! Here's a couple photos of this year's artistic masterpieces. Apr 7, 2009. There were so many fun photos from this past hockey season of James and his friends that I decided to post a few more of them. March 28, 2009, Ice Sheet, Ogden, UT. March 8, 2009, Salt Lake City, UT. Melton-Sales Family: Trying to Breathe...
http://meltonsales.blogspot.com/2010/01/trying-to-breathe.html
Jan 11, 2010. One nice thing about traveling out of town during the winter is we get to escape some of the bad Utah air. But, when we're back in town it's impossible to escape. Today the Wasatch Front had the distinction (? Of having the worst air in the nation (. And it's likely to stay that way for some time. At least we don't live in Logan where it's bad air usually 2x as much as the rest of the valley. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Goofy as always :D. Blogging family and friends.

Melton-Sales Family: November 2009
http://meltonsales.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Nov 30, 2009. In our house Thanksgiving and Hockey go hand in hand because our hockey organization hosts a competitive hockey tournament every Thanksgiving Weekend. James' team this year is pretty green, and they are still learning to play together. While the boys didn't win a single game, they played tough, with heart, and kept the scores very close. In fact, three of the games we were winning heading into the 3rd period, just to have the other team come back and score 2 goals at the very end. I would h...
