Grammar and Great Books. Thursday, February 27, 2014. George Washington's Breakfast by Jean Fritz. I stumbled upon this in the South Pasadena library while I was looking for one of those Who Was biographies of George Washington to read to Matthew and David. David recently made a George Washington puppet for his book share. Yesterday I read this book to the boys. It was quite long for Matthew, but he listened to most of it before being lured away by handball on our back porch :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Grammar and Great Books. Friday, November 27, 2015. Two of my boys loved reading about the Greek gods and goddesses last year. The Lightening Thief was the Read Aloud in one of their classrooms, and my then-fourth grader read through the entire first 5 books by Rick Riordan. I purchased Percy Jackson's Greek Gods. Which we are just now reading aloud together, and I am now becoming familiar with the early stories. I need to find out this book on tape! I like to swim. (infinitive). Therein, a good opportun...

Book Hunt →. February 5, 2014. He arrived at the rink for his first lesson with one of Hudson Hockey Association’s finest…someone who stayed by his side the entire time and taught him first how to fall and then how to pick himself right back up again. I think it’s safe to say that both my husband and I were shocked to see just how much confidence he gained each and every year…especially when he was on the ice. Eventually, we hardly saw any of the sensory traits he struggled with as a toddler. The lit...
