Horace and Jane's Review of Books: Jetty Island
http://www.horaceandjane.com/2015/07/jetty-island.html
Horace and Jane's Review of Books. Monday, July 6, 2015. The Port of Everett offers a free ferry to Jetty Island, a completely uninhabited 3-mile stretch of sand in the Sound. The Maldives this was not. Think instead of giant dead jellyfish and squishy sand dotted with ghost shrimp burrows. And a ten-minute sprint to the port-a-potty on the ferry dock. But I felt breezy-pleezy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Friends, Fantasy Football Nemeses, Etc. View my complete profile.

Horace and Jane's Review of Books: October 2014
http://www.horaceandjane.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Horace and Jane's Review of Books. Monday, October 27, 2014. Westmoreland Park has a new, vast sandbox situation. Who's sick of salmon? These two PDX girls are amazeballs. They always were even when toddlers themselves. Blue Star Donuts- WOW! Portland is beyond satire, beyond politics and beyond capitalism: its seriousness and supremacy when it comes to sophisticated organic food is all-defeating, like a black hole of unearned pleasures. Sunday, October 12, 2014. The Palm Springs of the North.

Horace and Jane's Review of Books: Twanoh State Park
http://www.horaceandjane.com/2015/08/twanoh-state-park.html
Horace and Jane's Review of Books. Monday, August 3, 2015. Before we reached our campsite we stopped on Bainbridge. Ragan generously opened up his snack-filled home to us. But first we indulged in some rare (for the Northwest) French country-style at the Bloedel Reserve. Horace and Jane said that walking through the Reserve was the most boring thing ever. So back to being grubmuffins doomed to live in a Craftsman. Twanoh State Park is on the Great Bend of the Hood Canal. The saltwater was warm.

http://www.horaceandjane.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Horace and Jane's Review of Books. Thursday, November 6, 2014. Dinner: spaghetti in a trolley. Sunday, November 2, 2014. Honk honk. We pre-gamed on the Wedgwood Halloween walk. Here we were attempting pre-Revolution Romanov or, you know, like, Princess Ekaterina Alexandrovna Shcherbatskaya. This is a boy on sugar: looking at the camera and smiling while standing still. Horace and Jane's Review of Books: December 2014
http://www.horaceandjane.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Horace and Jane's Review of Books. Sunday, December 28, 2014. The DuPonts know how to trim the verge. The Strasburg Railroad runs a real coal-powered steam engine. Gross, soot. Amish farms are handsome: gently curving plow lines, brightly colored frocks drying on high, barns with classical proportions, the occasional quilt block. Gross, modernity. Thursday, December 18, 2014. It's poison, all of it. Monday, December 15, 2014. Thursday, December 4, 2014. If anything, Jane is sporty spice.

http://www.horaceandjane.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Horace and Jane's Review of Books. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Heaven for kids, hell for veggie lovers. Sunday, April 19, 2015. Monday, April 13, 2015. Halmoni sent me birthday flowers. Hydrangea is my jam. Low key. Jane's gift to me was a substantial three-minute piano lesson. I'm not on board with the half-hour group piano lessons starting at age six. Curtis Institute or bust. No pressure. We've been playing with Ella all the time. What a bunch of troupers. We're talking serious hail storm.

Horace and Jane's Review of Books: May 2015
http://www.horaceandjane.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Horace and Jane's Review of Books. Monday, May 18, 2015. Saejung guided us through the San Diego area. She knows how to deal with the sun; she hasn't aged really. Torrey Pines State Reserve was spectacular and windy. We saw a rattlesnake! Then the rain came. What's that about, La Jolla. Horace argued strenuously against Legoland ("BORING! So we ended up at the model train museum at Balboa Park. That made them happy. Sunday, May 3, 2015. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Friends, Fantasy Football Nemeses, Etc.
