Interest (age of the geek, baby). Oh wow, I must be showing my age…better not mention how much of a whovian I am by saying that my first doctor was Tom Baker, or my second was Peter Davidson…Pertweet wasn’t too bad either.). But to counter all those confusing/raging/hyperactive hormones, I fell in love to play fantasy Role Playing Game (you know, the stuff with paper, pencils, and dice). So far I’ve played many different kinds of platforms: Pathfinder. I graduated in 2009, class of 64, with a Bachelors o...

Sid Luscious and The Pants: Bob Casale, 1952-2014
http://sidluscious.blogspot.com/2014/02/bob-casale-1952-2014.html
Sid Luscious and The Pants. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Bob Casale, 1952-2014. I never met Bob Casale. I met Mark once, Gerry too. Nice guys, who were very depressed about the state of the world, and cynical about the music business. In other words, smart people who clearly saw the world for what it was. What do you expect from a bunch of college students who watched their friends die at Kent State. Those videos and songs were funny ha-ha and funny strange. And disturbing. The music business chewed them ...

Sid Luscious and The Pants: December 2011
http://sidluscious.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Sid Luscious and The Pants. Friday, December 23, 2011. Our demographic and gigs. One of the downsides to being an aging pop star is that generally, your fans get old, too. Being me, I take advantage of all the best technologies, stay the hell out of the sun, and eat right. so I still look pretty good. But then I look out at the audience, and realize these are my people. Anyhow, this is a good example of what some of our gigs are like:. Make sure you press the "snowflake" button. Sid Luscious and The Pants: August 2014
http://sidluscious.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sid Luscious and The Pants. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. The phone rattles and hums. It's like 2 am. I roll over and fumble for it. It's Bono. Great. Gotta take this one. I unlock the phone. "Hey, mate, what's up? You know it's like 2 am here? Bono is super-excited. He wants to play me some tracks from the upcoming album. Apparently he's been doing this a lot. He says "Check this out! Or maybe he's been listening to a lot of Jesus and The Mary Chain. I dunno. Let me tell you a story. This was a couple years...

Sid Luscious and The Pants: January 2013
http://sidluscious.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Sid Luscious and The Pants. Sunday, January 27, 2013. NAMM For a few years, I was in it. I was in the shit. Good men died, and bad men prospered. It was a jungle. The noise was deafening, and it left you with nightmares and the shakes. But the merchants prospered. This article. Gets it pretty much right: A wonderful hell. That's never the case, but that doesn't stop an army of longhairs and wannabes and has-beens and the occasional "holy crap is that STEVE VAI? I walked away that day a wiser and richer m...

Life in Seattle for a 40-something who is learning to live on his own in a wheelchair after a year and a half in a nursing home. Friday, April 10, 2009. Rest In Peace Larry. It is with deep regret that I have to notify you that Larry passed away on Wednesday, 4/8/2009. He appreciated all who read his blog since it gave him a sense of purpose. During some otherwise trying times. Can you tell us what happened? This is so sad. I hope he wasn't alone. April 10, 2009 at 6:52 PM. April 10, 2009 at 7:24 PM.

http://elswingers-world.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-day-so-far.html
Life in Seattle for a 40-something who is learning to live on his own in a wheelchair after a year and a half in a nursing home. Monday, April 6, 2009. My day so far. It's been a rough day and as of this moment in writing it is only 1:30 pm. WARNING: It gets graphic! I greeted the day at 8:30 am with a case of explosive diarrhea after. This has been a hard weekend with just a few bright spots. What is going wrong (so far):. Not having a useable toilet or toilet-type device. The sun is out for a third (or...

elswinger's world: A Productive Day
http://elswingers-world.blogspot.com/2009/04/productive-day.html
Life in Seattle for a 40-something who is learning to live on his own in a wheelchair after a year and a half in a nursing home. Friday, April 3, 2009. My View to the North. My View To The West. Up until today, to log on my options were to go to the library (and I got SOAKED on the way back) or somewhere on the Ave that has free wi-fi. Now it's not an issue since I am internet enabled. So last night I got nice and made myself a Fried Egg and Bacon Hoagie with Miracle Whip. A couple Pale Saints live.
