Monday, September 29, 2014. And Up It Goes! My two loyal readers (okay, there might be more of you) have both commented that there hasn't been any blog posting lately. So I feel I owe you all an explanation. In 2004, Doug and I started our first fixer-upper. We loved it, talked compulsively about it, and worked on it all the time. Even with a newborn and two small children, and with both of us working. Okay, I was only part-time, but still. Which is all well and good when writing a blog like this, right?

Thursday, May 29, 2014. What, it isn't Monday? Perhaps the week has gotten away from me. This is typical for the end-of-the-school-year madness. The last few weeks of school are always insane: graduations, field days, water days, last minute teacher gifts, you name it. Yikes. But school will be out next Friday, and I am glad. This is actually my favorite part of Halloween, because I get to see all the cute costumes. And smile at the cute kids. Usually, though, Doug refuses to take out the kids. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Finishing up the Year. 2013 is almost gone. To be honest, I'm not too sad to see it go.it was a decent year, as years go, but I'm always excited to see what the future will bring. While it's still here, though, here's what we've been doing this week:. Putting away Christmas: Sophie got a little tired during the whole process and decided to take a short nap on the Christmas totes. I'm so happy to have the house back to normal. It looks so clean! Friday, March 29, 2013. Easter Pageant and Mission Calls. We haven't made it to the Mesa Temple Easter Pageant in a couple years, mostly just out of trying to schedule it, so this year we picked a date before so we'd be sure and schedule it in. We got there early with blankets and pillows ready to sit on the lawn to watch, but when we saw how close we could get in the chairs we decided to take it - 7th row in the middle! Friday, February 28, 2014. Our High School put on Hairspray for their Musical this year. Jamie was so excited to try out - she loves doing plays! One concern was that it was at the same time as the Gilbert Temple Cultural Celebration. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Erin was invited to "Homecoming"! It was the same day as Homecoming, but about 13 guys got together and decided to do their own Homecoming Dance - LOVED the idea! For the activity, they went to this really big park and played Hunger Games with squirt guns, etc. They had to where a dark shirt under a white shirt so that they could tell when they were soaked, which meant they were "killed".
