Saturday, May 7, 2011. Mary-Jane is on a quest to find some skin colored high heels, sounds beautiful. I brought the camera. This band was playing in front of Hotel de Ville. We always see these kind of events from our window and decide whether or not to go. They weren't bad; a European version of The Strokes. More band pictures. Just down the street there was a band playing at 59 Rivoli, which Mary-Jane has mentioned in her blog. It doubles as an art gallery. MJ listening to sound check.

Monday, June 24. Both of the stressful things in June are now finished - Ragnar and recital time - finished! Ragnar was super fun. Monday, August 31. First Day of School. The kids were so excited for the first day of school. They were all up by 6 and ready to go by 6:30. I always love the first week of school too - the newness of it provides all the motivation the kids need to be ready on time. As a result I don't have to nag anyone to finish getting ready before the TV goes on, I don't have to worry about anyone sleeping too late, and everyone remembers to get homework done right after school. We stopped in the town of to buy lunch and enjoy the medieval castle and grounds. We then got on another train and went over to Frutigen.
