Bob and Caths Spring Break. Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Why the Snowy Egret Cruises the Bushes. Here I was, only days ago, feeling sorry for the snowy egret. Chased from our little harbor by the big bad great blue heron. Turns out, that egret is quite happy to stay out of the heron's way. A buffet grazer, the egret has his own routine. Bob and Caths Spring Break. Friday, March 23, 2012. Late this morning, we visited Suncoast Bird Sanctuary. In Indian Shores. I was a little afraid of seeing injured and rehabilitated birds, fearing a reaction similar to the sadness I felt at the Clearwater Aquarium. We drove slightly southwest over the vast expanse of prairie, through occasionally heavy rain on a freeway full of trucks that splashed up water, making visibility difficult.
