The Allred Abode: It's Christmas Time in the City
http://allredsatease.blogspot.com/2011/12/its-christmas-time-in-city.html
Saturday, December 3, 2011. It's Christmas Time in the City. Christmas Decorating in a small apartment is kind of hard to accomplish. That said, we had a blast, even if it is not the most beautiful ever! We bought a Noble Fir that is a little over 6 feet tall, and asked for leftover leaves (the ones they cut off the bottom of the tree so it will fit in the bottom) and they gave us all we wanted! So I made my first home-made fresh Noble Fir Christmas Wreath! Remember my Fall Wreath. We need a cute wreath!

Kaminski's Creations: Stained Glass Mosaic
http://kaminskiscreations.blogspot.com/2012/02/stained-glass-mosaic.html
Saturday, February 4, 2012. This is a project that I've started doing with my 3rd graders at school to relate to their study of the Ancient Roman Empire (I'm an art teacher). So here's how we made our stained glass mosaic (we donate the window to our P.T.A.'s silent auction to help raise money for our school's P.T.A.). Because the window itself was so old and imperfect, I chose to sand it, to add to the distressed feel. Tape each piece to whichever side you're going to use as the front. I had taken stain...

The Allred Abode: Merry First Christmas!
http://allredsatease.blogspot.com/2011/12/merry-first-christmas.html
Saturday, December 10, 2011. Nick and I celebrated Christmas this morning! I am going to be leaving this Thursday for California, and then I will come back and Nick and I will go straight to North Carolina, and I wanted us to be able to open our Christmas presents together in the morning, so today was the only day! So we had "Express Christmas." Did anyone see the Modern Family Christmas episode this week? Nick and I were literally rolling on the floor laughing so hard, it is the greatest show ever.

Look What Jeff Did: A Simply Sweet "Baby Girl" Baby Shower
http://whatjeffdid.blogspot.com/2013/05/a-simple-baby-girl-baby-shower.html
A Simply Sweet Baby Girl Baby Shower. This last weekend, I helped throw my beautiful friend Rachel a baby shower. Rachel had requested a laid back co-ed shower at the park where family and friends could relax and play some games. Of'course, we still had to highlight that sweet little girl growing inside her, so we went with a simple "baby girl" theme and tried to not get too stuffy with the decorations. These napkins were picked out by the grandma-to-be and became my inspiration for the decor. For the pi...
