Sk8punx ( Fall 2010 ). Sk8punx was the second game that we made for the Arcane Kids arcade. The game is a side-scrolling skateboarding game where you need to avoid crates and grind on rails. Our choice of controller was a Logitech WingMan which has one axis of motion detection. We taped the controller to a skateboard and people were able to use the skateboard to determine when they were going to jump. We first showed the game with a live band to open a show at Ground Zero.

Dutch Angles ( Spring 2011 ). I don't know what this means". Dutch Angles is a sidescroller, arcade game I worked on in Unity 3D. The idea is that you are moving through a pipeline and you need to avoid getting hit by enemies either by evasion or by using your shield. Additionally the game was shown as part of Lunarcade Factory: Linee. A presentation of games made around the theme "line". Development of this version of the game took about one week. Russian Poker Challenge ( Fall 2010 ). The house always wins". Russian Poker Challenge was the first in-house game made for the Arcane Kids arcade and was featured at Ground Zero. It was developed four hours before it was shown, and it was a pretty horrific night of Russell and me desperately trying to make sure the game was not bugging out. Download ( pc only ).

Yamada Box Legend ( Spring 2011 ). I'm sorry that i let my anger and frustration get the best of me". Yamada Box Legend is a 3rd person adventure/puzzle game about exploring box worlds and utilizing their properties to affect outer worlds. I worked on the game during Spring 2011 for the course Game Development II. Our team was six people: three programmers and three artists. Development of this game took about four months. Leap of Faith ( Spring 2011 ). Leap of Faith was an attempt by Ben and me to create a video game that incorporated the ideas in Albert Camus' An Absurd Reasoning. We saw that in video games the absurd is best observed in the disconnect between people's desire to play singleplayer games and our belief that singleplayer games are impossible to create. Thunderdust ( Fall 2012 ). Thunderdust is a short Zelda. Like that I had worked on after I first moved to Austin. I was inspired to work on a game that tried to capture the fun of combat from The Legend of Zelda. In this game the player is equipped with a mace, and must defeat enemies in a three level dungeon to escape the terrors of Castle Thunderdust. Most of the art had been done by Benjamin Esposito.
