Hobe Sound, located in the southeast corner of Martin County, has traditionally been at the end of the social service lifeline which is centered in Stuart. As Hobe Sound has grown, moreover, the needs of our less fortunate neighbors have increased. By any standard, the results of the Chest in recent years have been outstanding. Annual funding of agencies has increased from $150,000 to over. 1 million in 2015. Emergency hurricane funding following the 2004. And 2005 storms ranged from $38,000 to $150,000.
