Quill and Query: Leonard - The Big Bounce
http://bookhunting.blogspot.com/2010/11/leonard-big-bounce.html
I use this blog for casual thoughts and reactions to a particular book or author, etc. I am not attempting serious reviews or analysis. Sunday, November 21, 2010. Leonard - The Big Bounce. The Big Bounce, Elmore Leonard, Fawcett, 1969. The various threads and characters come together very cleverly for the finale, which ends in a perhaps mildly ambiguous conclusion, like this sentence, but remains true to the characters and is in that very satisfying. Quill and Query: August 2010

I use this blog for casual thoughts and reactions to a particular book or author, etc. I am not attempting serious reviews or analysis. Sunday, August 29, 2010. MacDonald - The Green Ripper. The Green Ripper, John D MacDonald, Fawcett Gold Medal, 1979. This novel is silly really, and I hope not an example of the Travis McGee greatness which so many write about, because this book certainly isn't. Posted by Max Brand. Links to this post. Quill and Query: January 2011

I use this blog for casual thoughts and reactions to a particular book or author, etc. I am not attempting serious reviews or analysis. Sunday, January 30, 2011. Harris - You Comma Idiot. You comma Idiot, Doug Harris. The narrator is the idiot of the title, but after a few pages of self-deprecation reveals that he considers himself more intelligent than those around him. His actions do not back that up however, and often his much-maligned side-kick demonstrates more sense. Posted by Max Brand.

Den of the Crazytigerrabbitman: We'll Make Great Pets

Den of the Crazytigerrabbitman. A worship of all things redundant, retarded, and ridiculous. Like Helen Keller eating a Benedict Arnold sandwich. Monday, August 23, 2010. We'll Make Great Pets. I sometimes wonder if we are alone in this crazy universe and if we’re not, then what do they know about us if anything? Let’s suppose for a second that we are not alone and, not only are they superior to us, but they also know of our existence here on the big, blue planet. I wonder what they would make of us.

Den of the Crazytigerrabbitman. A worship of all things redundant, retarded, and ridiculous. Like Helen Keller eating a Benedict Arnold sandwich. Monday, August 30, 2010. So Long, Sea Monkeys! Listen. Can you hear it? Ding-dong the shit is gone. Ding-dong the neighbor’s shit is gone! Seriously, it has been like living next to Samford and Son. Hey, it’s a start! The other neighbors were so absolutely ecstatic they were practically dancing in the street. Yep, there was a spontaneous dance celebration t...

Den of the Crazytigerrabbitman: Working Beside the Demon Lady

Den of the Crazytigerrabbitman. A worship of all things redundant, retarded, and ridiculous. Like Helen Keller eating a Benedict Arnold sandwich. Tuesday, March 15, 2005. Working Beside the Demon Lady. Posted in a rare moment where my anger was not misdirected or unintentional. Yeah it happens sometimes.). Is there anything more infuriating as somebody with an instant bad attitude? These people are the true veritable buzzkills in life and I had the misfortune of sitting beside one today at work. For what...

Den of the Crazytigerrabbitman: Mobile Madness
http://crazytigerrabbitman.blogspot.com/2010/09/mobile-madness.html
Den of the Crazytigerrabbitman. A worship of all things redundant, retarded, and ridiculous. Like Helen Keller eating a Benedict Arnold sandwich. Thursday, September 16, 2010. I’ve never been a purveyor for the virtues of mobile cell phones. Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Long story short I think cell phones are for pussies. Currently, schools mostly operate with a strict cell phone policy that doesn’t allow their use in the school, either in the classroom or in the hallway and, too fucking r...
