Volunteer – Donations. Our 31st Annual Duffer’s Delight Golf Tournament. We recently held our 31st Annual Duffer’s Delight golf tournament at Harbor Lakes Country Club. Traditionally the tournament has been held at DeCordova Bend Estates Golf Club, but due to the maintenance of their course, it was held at Harbor Lakes. See Gallery page for additional pictures of the tournament. This year’s winners were:. Women’s flight – 1st place – The Pink Ladies. GAR Cup Winner – First National Bank Mortgage.

Volunteer – Donations. Can one person make a difference? The story of how Hood County Children’s Charity Fund came to be offers a resounding Yes! Working with the school nurse, Martha Garner, they soon provided coats for the students in need. A few months later, the growing number of people involved realized they needed to have a larger fundraiser and involve more people in the community. Thus, in the spring of 1985, the first Hood County Children’s Charity Fund. Duffer’s Delight Golf Tournament.

Volunteer – Donations. A campus nurse had a situation with a student who had not been taking her prescribed anti-depressant medication and was struggling with daily living. She was out of her medication and had not seen her physician to renew her medication because the family could not pay the outstanding $64 bill. The billing office was contacted. We paid the outstanding bill, and the medication was purchased. One day there were three families at the Ada Carey Center with six students who needed clothin...
