Yesterday my father and I put up a temporary shelter in one of the new pens and finally. But space is always a problem. And an emerald egg, even though she had laid yesterday. Tales of a Teenage Peafowl Enthusiast. Sunday, June 17, 2007. Runaway peas, ravenous chicks, and hatching (maybe) looking up. It's been a busy week here in PA! The two surviving chicks from our last disasterous hatch are adorable little monsters. For awhile I wasn't sure that they knew how to eat on their own, and I'm still not certain on this point, but they're still alive, so they have to! But I already have two breeding pens producing 'em, and two pens of silver pieds, so I really don't need any more!

Tales of a Teenage Peafowl Enthusiast. Monday, August 27, 2007. So I'm just bad at blogging. I meant to write weekly, but this summer's gotten away from me. And now I head back to college on Thursday, and I certainly won't be writing then. Alas, maybe next year.
