For a while now I've been discussing what I believe to be an important issue for Japan in a Japanese chat room on Yahoo Japan. When I bring the topic up most Japanese try to change the subject and ignore the facts. The facts are the population of Japanese citizens is declining and that Japanese companies are relying more and more on foreign workers. I traveled to Kamakura. Japan on March 21st and visited three of the most famous locations there. The first six photos were taken at Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine. Including the very same tree from behind which the assassin of the third Kamakura shogun. Hid before killing the shogun on February 13, 1219. The following six photos are from Zeniarai Benten Shrine. Well I went ahead and did it. I made sushi rolls today for the first time and would like to share the recipe and pictures. Roll 1: American "Philadelphia Roll" with cream cheese, avocado and tuna. Roll 2: same ingredients as roll 1 but I added crab meat. Roll 3: cucumber, tuna and crab meat. 3 cups of rice, rinsed three times so it would still be somewhat sticky. Well I got back to the States six days ago and I think my body and mind has finally recovered from jet-lag. I had a truly fantastic time in Tokyo. I stayed at my girlfriend's apartment which is located in Narimasu (currently no wikipedia entry but I'll work on it). I could literally see the border of Saitama Prefecture. And Tokyo from her balcony. I am editing the videos I took so they will be up on YouTube shortly, however here are a few of my favorite shots from Tokyo I would like to share:.
