Friday, May 16, 2003. Using both linux and windows frequently is never easy. The famous / inclined one way or the other, interchanging $ for a % in variables - these and more are common to the fledge Bi-OS-ist. It would be wonderful to have an OS that stops complaining and obeys its master irrespective of what the command means. A more supportive message such as "Do you want me to learn that command? Or "Shall I operate as that OS now? Instead of a niggling error message is welcome. Friday, May 02, 2003.

Karthik's vineyard of thoughts: 05/01/2005 - 06/01/2005
http://cosmotron.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 01, 2005. I visited the library old books sale and bought few books. Among them was Michael Crichton's "The Andromeda Strain". For a first book by an author at the age of twenty-five that too in the 1970s, this is a very good book. Enjoyed reading this classic novel to the last page. Although not all of what is said in the book is correct, I liked the author's research into the biological details in writing the book. I shall post about the others in the coming weeks. ISB batch of 2007.

http://samirojha.blogspot.com/2006/07/will-yuan-appreciate.html
Postcards From ISB and Beyond . Saturday, July 22, 2006. Will the Yuan Appreciate? The US has long been frustrated by Chinas currency being artificially maintained at below the actual market value, and has been pressurising Beijing to revalue its currency , efforts that have borne little so far given the Yuan has appreciated by a mare 1.4% in the last one year. The Chinese govt has finally taken steps to prevent overheating of the economy by controlling the money supply in the economy by increasing reser...

Sunday, October 26, 2003. After a hiatus, I watched an animated movie. Disney and Pixar's "Finding Nemo" is no less spectacular than the earlier "The Lion King", "Toy Story" and "Shrek". The clown fish which is found in the Australian Great Barrier Reef, it seems lives symbiotically with the sea anemone. The greatest danger to this fish is from humans. All these information is well brought in the film. Http:/ www.findingnemo.com/. Http:/ www.pixar.com/featurefilms/nemo/. Voices from the movie.
