Sunday, September 21, 2014. After Christmas Jake drove home to get back to school while the boys and I took an extended visit. That means we were there for the New Year pinata with the Clarks! Simon likes hitting stuff with sticks. The pinata was decapitated. Well, actually it flew off the rope and was viciously attacked by the three Clark boys. By the time they were done it was decapitated. Simon loves his uncles! I love seeing my boys play with my old childhood toys! Sometimes Joe thinks he's a cat.

Sunday, September 21, 2014. Christmas with the Sypher Family. This year the Sypher family had an early Christmas, so we were able to join in before traveling down to Utah. Simon loved hanging out with his cousins. And, of course, his Grandpa Sypher. And helping Grandma play the piano. In the Christmas pageant Jake played the prestigious role of the donkey. Simon was an angel. Joseph was the baby Jesus. He liked the gifts from the wise men. And Simon and Malachi discovered the snow. Dani Lee and Jacob.

Monday, November 25, 2013. For our anniversary celebration this year Jake took me with him to Chicago! While there Jake attended a conference with ACOOG (American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology), but was able to take an afternoon off to explore the city with me. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Life With the Syphers. It's been two months since we returned to Oregon and regular life. Jake is now in his second year of med school and I'm staying busy at home with these two characters. Just a dad and his boys. Simon's always trying to be the center of attention. These boys love playing together. Joseph thinks that Simon is just hilarious. Enjoying some bike rides before the rain. Simon likes to help me cook. And he likes reading to Joseph. Maybe Ronel can teach him.

Sunday, June 9, 2013. We had Joseph's baby blessing on March 31, Easter Sunday. We gave him the name Joseph Marquard Sypher. He is named after the prophet Joseph Smith and, of course, Heather's amazing dad, Marquard Dale Carter. We hope he'll look to their examples throughout his life. We were so glad Dad was able to be here for his namesake's blessing! And I'm so grateful to be married to a worthy priesthood holder who can give the Lord's blessing to our children! Tyson has become the sweetest.at times.big brother. He loves to sing to Colton and sweetly says "It's ok." over and over again when Colton is upset, if he is in a good mood himself.
