We wanted to go kinda big this year for Ella's birthday - with a little sister on the way and her pending eye surgery, we wanted our little girl to feel special. Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Here we are at the East Harbor State Park in Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio. The park had its pros and cons (the main thing being lack of shade and tiny campsites), but we still had fun and made the most of it. Here's some pics of our trip:. See how close all the sites were - kinda crazy! Ella being a goofball in Jaclyn and Anthony's tent. You can barely see Kelley's Island in the distance. Sunday, April 26, 2009. Well, its definitely spring. Jason discovered this Robins nest in our little tree at the back of our house by the deck stairs. Every time we walk up or down, mommy Robin gets all flustered. I'll be keeping a close eye to see when the little babies hatch. Today the kids had quite a fun time jumping through the sprinkler. Thursday, August 23, 2007. Virginia is for Lovers. Or for people who just want a job there. Yep, I'm here. In Virginia at last. I've been here since this past Sunday evening. Training started Monday morning and after 4 days strong (of only 8 hour days for a change), I'm exhausted! I'm living on site, but am paying rent here so housing isn't a part of my pay (but my rent is dirt cheap - especially for the D.C. area). I have a room/building to myself - which is fabulous! Monday, November 16, 2009. So I immediately have her begin to clean out her clothes and her blanket. Defiance. Slow. I let her know I'll come back later when she's ready to clean up fast and snappy. The fuse was apparently really short because a huge explosion followed. Screaming, banging, opening and closing her window as hard as she could over and over. I'm thinking.really?
