All Things Artistic and Inspirational. Friday, May 29, 2009. Apple: Colored Pencil Study. This is an apple drawing from the pages of my sketchbook, but I would consider it more a color study than a sketch, due to the greater detail involved. Hey! I think I'll Google the difference between these terms that are often used in the art world to see how they differ.I'll be right back, but before I go, I want to explain what I think the basic difference is. All Things Artistic and Inspirational. Monday, February 2, 2009. Somehow, Felix knew, before even trying, that his plan was terribly. This week's Illustration Friday illustration was done in a photo editing program using vector layers, raster layers (a lot of layers), and the end result was filtered to look like it was done on slightly textured paper. It was fun to work on. It started out as a sketch on paper, was scanned in and modified. I love my computer! Links to this post. Paint Shop Pro Photo.

All Things Artistic and Inspirational. Saturday, January 31, 2009. This is what I was working on for last week's Illustration Friday (and it's still not finished). I didn't get it posted last week because we had a major ice/snow storm that knocked out the electricity for four days. Two small pine trees fell on my daughter's new car, and the top of a medium-sized pine sheared off under the weight of the ice and fell on the cab of my husband's truck. Links to this post. Jeanette's Illustrations: Illustration Friday: Pale
http://jeanettesillustrations.blogspot.com/2009/01/illustration-friday-pale.html
Illustrations for Illustration Friday. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. This is my first post featuring an illustration for Illustration Friday. Just a quick digital illustration to practice my vector skills. I had done a few sketches in graphite for this topic, and this is a digital version of one of them. I'm not an illustrator (as you can probably tell), but any experience can't hurt when it comes to creativity. January 20, 2009 at 1:41 PM. Nice use of shading for the cheeks. Jeanette's Illustrations: IF-Impossibility
http://jeanettesillustrations.blogspot.com/2009/04/if-impossibility.html
Illustrations for Illustration Friday. Sunday, April 19, 2009. Teaching ewe the hula is an impossibility. ". This week's Illustration Friday topic was the word "impossibility.". I came up with several ideas, but decided on this one. It would be impossible for sheep to hula for at least two reasons: They can't balance on their hind legs long enough and the grass skirts wouldn't last very long. I know, I know.I couldn't resist. Sorry. At least that's not as baaaaad as the caption. April 19, 2009 at 8:16 PM.

Illustrations for Illustration Friday. Sunday, May 31, 2009. This is my post for Illustration Friday. The idea started out as a cute cartoon illustration of a chameleon, but ended like this. Done entirely in an image editing program. I thought it turned out kinda neat, even though it was not what I originally had in mind. June 1, 2009 at 5:53 AM. I like it, very nice. Jeanette's Big Blog of Animals
Jeanette's Big Blog of Animals. Monday, May 9, 2016. Spring Migration is ON! I made it to the park today, taking advantage of the break from rain. And I'm so glad I did! It was one of those birds-everywhere days that are such treasures. My first official greeter was this black-throated blue who waited through a lot of out-of-focus pictures to give me a little over-the-shoulder flirting. The adults are not my favorites, but goslings are irresistibly adorable. They were fast and gorgeous! Eventually we man...
