For Critical Approach or against Critical Approach that is the question. So my vote stands, For Critical Approach! March 31, 2010 at 7:33 pm. Agreed, agreed and agreed. Loved your cartoon! April 7, 2010 at 2:24 am. I definetly agree with all the benefits of critical theory that you mentioned, its a class that opens our minds to say the least. One of my pet peeves is when people are very close minded about anything, so I like when we are all encouraged to look at different perspectives!

Just another WordPress.com weblog. I apologize that this blog is late. I had a case of the flu last week and ended up in the hospital. This week’s topic excited me a lot. The chance to watch a movie is always something that I get enthusiastic about. The film that I chose to watch was. 10 Things I Hate About You. Starring the late Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles. This film takes Shakespeare’s classic. Taming of the Shrew. 2 responses to “ Blog #4. March 31, 2010 at 4:54 am. April 1, 2010 at 6:34 pm. Persona...

Hey Jess – yeah… I too find that the more I read and the more I study English, the more I like to “peel away the layers” like an onion when studying a literary work. For the longest time, I too was mostly interested in plot and characterization – but now that doesn’t seem to be enough (see the comments on my blog about the Da Vinci code… blech! Jessica's Critical Approaches Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. What exactly is ‘post’? Well technically it means ‘after’ right? I think with literature, the post theories in a sense ‘edit’ the ones previous, looking at their problems, what could be changed, and creating a new theory accordingly. All of the ‘post’ theories seem to be a deconstruction of what existed before them. 3 Responses to “blog three”. March 17, 2010 at 2:58 pm. March 21, 2010 at 3:08 pm. Like I said, I do not fully agree with some feminist views and never usually take a feminist stance while reading, but I simply couldn’t help but notice the LACK of women in Conrad’s Heart of Darkness! 5 Responses to “blog two”. Yeah… I agree with Jess… “post” seems to be about waiting a long time and then looking back a previous ideas and altering them base on ‘what we know now’. Maybe when you look back on your post/blog a year or two from now, once you have some more courses under your belt, it will all look and feel a little different. Actually, I’m sure it will for you – as it will for me. You are commenting u...

Limb’s heroine is cleverer than Rennison’s, less bonkers than McKay’s, but just as captivating’. This is the kind of book no teenage girl should be without’. Jess Jordan's ramblings, rants and rather embarassing situations. Guys, I’m in the South of France. But don’t get over excited. We’re up in the hills, not down by the glittering sea, celeb-spotting. There are no celebs here. There’s just me, Mum and Dad. It’s a terribly modern family holiday: Mum and Dad, divorced for years, Dad gay although currently unattached, Mum anti-man but in a low-key way. Separate bedrooms (of course! Here we have. Trees.
