From our house hunting trip. Ie before we owned the house and before our furniture went inside it. Our upstairs remodel by Johnson Brothers Construction. Look ma no roof! Sealed in and framed. Taking shape with windows and walls. Week 7 - mostly electrical and plumbing stuff, so no new photos. Lots of visible progress! Lots of drywall tape and exterior work. Wood floors, tile, and trim. Bathroom floor, lights, and plumbing fixtures. More paint, the shower door, and the final cabinet facings.

Travels: Yucatan, Mexico - Dec 2008. We enjoyed a fabulous 10-day vacation to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico with our friends Patti Shank and Larry Hamel. Our two goals were (1) to soak up a hefty dose of Vitamin D to last us through the dark Seattle winter, and (2) to explore the Mayan ruins. We accomplished both. However, it was chillier and windier than we had hoped, so we didn't get to do much snorkeling or spend quite as much time on the beach as we'd hoped. The ruins of Chichen Itza.
