Baby Shower Cake and Cupcake Tower | The Frosting Addict
http://thefrostingaddict.blogspot.com/2011/07/baby-shower-cake-and-cupcake-tower.html
Addicted to baking sweet treats! Baby Shower Cake and Cupcake Tower. This cake was a fun cake to make! The flavors were simple. chocolate and vanilla with buttercream frosting. The challenge was in the fondant work. The top cake had a lot of adornments. Out of fondant I made a little baby covered by a blanket, a toy teddy bear, some blocks, a bottle and a ball. For the cupcakes I molded little baby feet. I also put a few baby feet around the sides of the cake. Here is everything all together.

The Frosting Addict: May 2011

Addicted to baking sweet treats! Last week, close friends of ours welcomed their 2nd child into the world. Since I am the one who is known to bring cakes or cupcakes for any sort of gathering I decided to try and make a non-edible Diaper cake as a gift for the new baby. I have seen these Diaper cakes before at many baby showers so I thought I would give it a go and make one myself! After some research on how to assemble the cake I got to work and have to say I am very happy with the finished product!

Addicted to baking sweet treats! For Easter I had a few orders and made an array of flavors including chocolate peanut butter cup, strawberry margarita, banana caramel, Lemon and Vanilla! For the lemon and vanilla cupcakes I wanted to decorate them with cute Easter decorations. I used Peeps and Jelly Beans! I think they came out very cute! I think the girls definitely enjoyed them! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! The whole recipe is pretty easy. As usual once they are cooled you can frost them!

Addicted to baking sweet treats! When I was browsing my favorite blogs I came across this awesome cake on Glorious Treats. Her tutorial is much better then mine will be but either way if you have the chance you should definitely try and bake this cake! So I started out baking all the cakes I would need. 2 8inch red cakes. 1 8inch white cake. 1 8inch blue cake. Now from those cakes, I cut the 2 red cakes into layers and the white cake into layers. These are all my cakes waiting to be stacked. I kept the o...

Addicted to baking sweet treats! Dora The Explorerer Cake. So sorry for the lack of posting lately. it just seems that summers are so busy. Every weekend there is something to do whether it be a party, a cookout, a trip to the cape. I'm sure you all know how it goes. Recently we have been experiencing a bit of a heatwave as well. 90 degree temperature don't really motivate me to bake. but soon I will be resuming my baking as I have a couple of orders coming up next weekend! Here is the final product.

Addicted to baking sweet treats! Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Beef Tenderloin. I don't usually post non-dessert items but when I made this for Easter Dinner I was very proud of myself so I wanted to share! I started out with 2 - 2 1/2lb beef tenderloins. I took them out of the fridge to rest to a room temp while I made the stuffing. The stuffing is very simple. 2 sticks of butter. 3-4 cloves of garlic (minced). 15 cups of italian seasoned breadcrumbs. 15 cups of italian seasoned panko breadcrumbs. If you are in...
