Cherished Chaos: November 2012
http://littleboysinblue.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
8220;There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” ― Mahatma Gandhi. Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Some days my kids are so adorable that every single person who sees them gushes over them. Today was one of those days :). It's so nice to have other people appreciate how great they are. Probably helped that they all slept for about half an hour in the car before our shopping stop. Monday, November 26, 2012. But there is so much to see and do. Or if you're my kids, you...

8220;There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” ― Mahatma Gandhi. Monday, October 15, 2012. A new Christmas tradition. Do you think too much emphasis is put on money items? I've decided I want more for my boys. You don't grow up remembering what you got for Christmas every year. You grow up remembering the fun times you had. The laughs. The closeness to loved ones. So this year, we're off. We will be spending 2 weeks together over the Christmas period. We'll exp...

Cherished Chaos: Week 2
http://littleboysinblue.blogspot.com/2013/02/week-2.html
8220;There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” ― Mahatma Gandhi. Monday, February 11, 2013. So we're coming into week 2 now of official home schooling and it has become apparent that the boys want to have some kind of time table for what they are to do. It happened today when Jaidan said to me, "mum, you know when we went to school and we had things to do all day, a list, and recess and lunch? Can we do that? So what DID we do today? Cherished Chaos: Community work

8220;There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” ― Mahatma Gandhi. Saturday, February 23, 2013. Every time I asked an organisation if there was something the boys and I could do to help, I got the same answer, "the boys are too young, they have to be 16 to register as volunteers and they can't work for us unless they register. So I've decided to be a regular part of the Two Hands Project. If you've read my blog, you would have seen this. View my complete profile.

Cherished Chaos: What's going on in your neck of the woods?
http://littleboysinblue.blogspot.com/2013/02/whats-going-on-in-your-neck-of-woods.html
8220;There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” ― Mahatma Gandhi. Wednesday, February 20, 2013. What's going on in your neck of the woods? So this week has been very hectic and emotional and full of ups and downs. It has it's moments though, like today, where I realise it's all worth it. Which is a great site with 1000's of worksheets and printout games completely free. Ashton and I played for about 20 minutes which was nice as he doesn't like to sit with 1 task...

8220;There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” ― Mahatma Gandhi. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. My house is usually chaos. 90% of the time someone is wining about something, someone needs their hands and face washed, someone wants a drink, the dishwasher/washing machine/dryer is beeping at me, something needs to be cleaned up all while I'm trying to get the boys to do some kind of task. Homework or get dressed or clean up the toys etc etc. A few days ago I impleme...

Just in case you haven't hear of it, you can find out what it's about by clicking HERE. The beautiful Mandurah Foreshore, which is today clean thanks to 10 hands and 1 hour of the morning. Cherished Chaos: The penny dropped

8220;There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” ― Mahatma Gandhi. Saturday, February 16, 2013. So this morning I was watching this. Video by a young man. An articulate, engaging, funny and intelligent young man. Who also happens to be home schooled. It led me onto watching this. Video, by Sir Ken Robinson. Everyone should watch both videos, it's really eye opening. Some things Ken said really resonated with me. Hopefully by the end of the year I can link back to...

8220;There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” ― Mahatma Gandhi. Monday, September 10, 2012. You are not alone. Your toddler whacks you in the face. You are not alone. Your 4 year old curses loudly. You are not alone. Your child comes home from a trip to the supermarket with something that you didn't buy for them. You are not alone. Your toddler throws a head turning tantrum over an ice cream cone. You are not alone. You are not alone. You are not alone. Your c...
