Tuesday, February 16, 2010. How silly I felt, having wasted two whole years over such a thing. It was certainly a shame to have squandered all that time, but it was also a huge relief. Monday, March 25, 2013. Empathy is an ability, but it is also a curse. It makes you experience emotions - usually negative ones - when you, personally, have no reason to feel badly. Sometimes, I wish I wasn't at all empathetic, that I could be like everyone else and have no consideration for other people's feelings. I wish I could just flip that switch and focus on myself.
