Katsuji Sato's photographs and essays. 私自身としては保存して欲しい、完全にそしてオリジナルに忠実に！しかし何を今更と言う思いもある。 例えば東銀座の歌舞伎座を高層ビルにする等正気の沙汰とは思えない、歴史的価値とは初めから在る訳ではなく社会が守り造って行く物だ、壊してしまってはそこに歴史や価値等生まれない、近視眼的経済効率の為の暴挙が何故まかり通るのだろう。 有楽町に在った三信ビルは本当に美しく歴史的な価値に彩られた素晴らしい建物だった、六本木の安っぽいデパート等とは比べられない荘厳な雰囲気は、商業的にも魅力的で今やどんなにお金を積んでも手に入れる事の出来ない価値が在ると思われたが、保存運動も空しく解体された。 単に中央郵便局を保存しての仕方が無い、この街で暮らし利用する全ての人々が何時までも魅力的な街とは何なのか考えれば、美しい街並を保ったまま便利で豊かに暮らせると思う。 Its own identity…. 又涙もろくも有る。 A photographer living in Tokyo.
