An adventure of a lifetime. Thursday, July 9, 2009. For the 4th (and 3rd of July), the family (plus Joey and Talmadge) went up to Lake Lanier for a low country boil and fireworks. I love my fireworks setting on my camera and I hope that you enjoy the photos too. And the food, well, you can see. YUMMY! After a couple of fun filled days at the lake, I went down to Atlanta to hang out with Allison and some of her friends. We started out with hot dogs, hamburgers and dips galore! We then played ROCK BAND!

An adventure of a lifetime. Friday, October 16, 2009. Why have I not blogged. I know, I know. I have become quite a terrible blogger. I guess after starting my third year here, things have just started to feel so much more normal. I have a great class this year. I have a new teaching partner and she is doing great (although I miss Susana because she is awesome too! So, I will just do a quick picture montage of what I have been up to. Chili's with Alison and Kristen. Sweet Burke time at the UGA game.

An adventure of a lifetime. Sunday, February 14, 2010. Xela- Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Last weekend, my friend Stephanie and I visited the town of Quetzaltenango (we call it Xela). I had never visited this town so I wanted to take advantage of a free Friday to travel. It is about 3 1/2 hours away and is considered to be the second largest city in Guatemala. The weather was beautiful, though a bit colder than Guatemala City. Below are some photos of the weekend. Inside the above building. D Al and friends.
