Tuesday, October 18, 2011. 9: pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. My baking has been lacking, I have been lazy. But it's the time of year for pumpkin! And that cannot be wasted. I wanted an easy recipe to help ease myself back into things. Most of the pumpkin recipes I looked at involved a cream cheese frosting, which is delicious, but my love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with powdered sugar was not going to end well tonight. Sunday, November 20, 2011. 11: baguette (pain ordinaire careme). This was my first real attempt to bake bread. I was a little scared, I love bread and I did not want to mess it up. In the end though, even if all of these things did actually happen, my bread was delicious! Eating it right out of the oven, the crust was crunchy, the inside was a little mushy, it looked like bread! There will be more bread soon, so a few notes for next time.
