Killinure School is in the parish of Murroe-Boher, about 10 miles from the city of Limerick. The parish lies between two of the major roads serving Limerick - the Dublin and Tipperary roads. Our school serves the Boher end of the parish, while Murroe School is about 3 miles away. Magh Rua - "The Red Plain" (from the sandstone in the area). Bothar - "A road". We would like to welcome all our new pupils starting this year. As the traffic and the potential for accidents outside the school has increased we would urge all parents to exercise caution on the road in regards to both your own vehicle, those of others and any children who may be in the vicinity. Also:. We would ask you NOT. In the entrance to the staff car. Please make sure your child/children have healthy lunches (no crisps, fizzy drinks etc. allowed). Permission slips to school as soon as possible.

This month we changed our socio-dramatic corner into a doctors surgery, we set up a 'Water Play' area, a 'Peg Board' area and added a train set for the 'Small World' corner.
