http://kalibrary.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Kilmarnock Academy Library Resource Centre. The unstructured ramblings of a School Librarian. Thursday, 28 May 2009. There's a new flag of Scotland on display somewhere about the school - a prize for the first one who spots it! Clue - it's on display along with an English one and a Union flag. Now don't moan - I'm feeling homesick! Friday, 15 May 2009. I've seen the future - and it prints! What is this strange-looking machine, I hear you ask – and why has he got a picture of a 1915 poetry book? Even bett...

That’s why the LRC was closed earlier this week – your intrepid Librarian made the long haul “down south” to meet up with Mr Browne at Westminster. He also bought me a meal in one of the Parliamentary restaurants – maybe the receipt will appear in the newspapers one day…. As part of his speech, Mr Browne announced that the Society of General Microb...

Around Kilmarnock: August 2012
http://jane-aroundkilmarnock.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
I look forward to sharing many posts about interesting places to visit in and around this historic, beautiful and fascinating town. Saturday, August 18, 2012. Olympic Mural, Sandbed Street. The idea came from town centre manager, Fiona Nicolson, as part of the plans to regenerate the area. It's certainly a huge improvement and I hope that more murals and other ways to make this old street, and indeed the whole area, more attractive, are in the pipeline. Wednesday, August 8, 2012. A marvellous ruin to vis...
