Actor John Heard, who portrayed the father in the 2 Home Alone movies and the corrupt police detective on the Sopranos, was found dead in his hotel room by the maid today. John was just 71 yrs old. John was in Palo Alto recovering from some minor back surgery he had had at Stanford Hospital on July 19th. Why do people do that? Have surgery and then go to a hotel to recover!
